This last year has brought some amazing changes to a classic game. This legendary classic has remained true to it's beginnings and evolved around that fantastic base. While updates were slow for many years, recently the game has seen a revival. New buildings, spells and hero equipment. Max lvl defenses continue to add difficulty while a variety of new hero combinations makes for creative solutions to attack. I returned after playing in the early days and pleased with the direction going forward.

I honestly don't understand the point of resource management, buildings, research, and progression. it seems just thrown into this game, especially because you can just pay to instantly unlock it all and it doesn't really give you any advantage. like there's no time dependent advantage of progressing or collecting resources. the game is in the strategy of combat, and honestly it should have just stayed as that. all of the other clutter is just there for micro transactions, and is annoying.

I recently got back into CoC and wanted to leave my experience for anyone curious if this is the game for them. As a Free to Play player, the progression balance has been very manageable. Some might find the waiting to upgrade a turn off, and if you have a burnable income, you can rush to your heart's content, but I feel the slow pace adds to the progression. Combat is also a lot of fun, lots of different units to mix around and play with!
